Free Pattern:
Angora
cuffs offer both beauty and warmth for the hands, while relieving the
pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome or other repetitive stress
injuries. I offer the pattern here for a
simple cuff, knit in 2 x 2 rib stitch, that you can make in a few
evenings, which can give you
functional relief of hand pain, while looking like a beautiful fashion
accessory.

| Cast
on 36 stitches,
loosely, join in a round being careful not to twist stitches. Row 1. *K2, P2* 9 times. Row 2 and following: Repeat row 1 until cuff measures 4 inches or desired depth. Cast off in 2/2 rib pattern, keeping stitches loose for elasticity. Repeat for second cuff. Finish by weaving in the loose threads and washing to tighten the fabric. Long Prime Plucked French Angora fibers will not shed in the finished garment and the angora halo will be enhanced with wearing. |
This cuff can be made
more complicated with the addition of
lace stitches or beads, but the halo effect of the angora yarn is best
featured with simple stitches and patterns. Angora halos tend
to
enhance with time and wear. |
